Who is Ye Khaung?

I'm Ye Khaung, a software developer and founder from Myanmar, currently based in Osaka, Japan. I build software end to end: native Android apps in Java and Kotlin, cross-platform mobile apps with Flutter, backend systems with Laravel and PHP, and the admin dashboards and databases behind them.

Alongside engineering, I run companies. I am the Founder & CEO of YK Labs Myanmar, a tech lab focused on mobile SaaS products and app development, and the Co-founder & CEO of New Way Solutions Myanmar, a software company building tailored products for clients.

What I work with

My core stack is Flutter and Kotlin for mobile and Laravel for backends. I care about clean architecture and SOLID principles, state management with Riverpod, PostgreSQL database design, and practical DevOps — Docker, GitHub Actions CI/CD, and hardened Ubuntu VPS setups.

How I got here

I started as an Android native developer working in Java and later Kotlin, shipping production apps for more than seven years. Building complete products pushed me toward backend development with PHP and Laravel, and eventually to Flutter, which let me ship polished cross-platform apps without splitting effort across two codebases. For around three years I have lived in Osaka, Japan, continuing to design and build mobile and full-stack products for users in Japan, Myanmar and beyond.
